My Art

Art is My Ally

Original artwork of bluebell Bodrean woods in Cornwall. Painted en-plein-air acrylic on board. Dappled light throughout describing the trees in dark shadow which highlights the purples and blues of the bells and the bright yellow sunlight.

I do not rush.
I have spent six decades gathering the raw material for my work. Every yearI have lived is another layer of depth being added to my profession.
I am not a ‘late’ bloomer.
I am a perrenial, blooming into the right season at exactly the right time.
My hands hold wisdom. Steady as the mountain and as intuitive as the sea, I create from a quiet place within, where the Creator and I are one. My Art is my sanctuary. My studio is a sacred space, whether this is indoors or outdoors in situ. Its a place where the noise of the world ceases, and where I , instead weave peace and energy into everything I touch and create. If my work brings comfort by its visual impact, to anyones soul , then it has fulfilled its very own unique purpose.

Owning the Light.

My life is literally moving from the shadows of duty into the light of expression. I am giving myself permission to be seen. I am communicating with my Creator in my creative world, producing a unique voice that has been refined by time, and it is worth hearing.

Trusting the Flow.

I work with the rhythm of nature. My sensitivity links to my intuition which means I sometimes go against the norm , creating from the heart.
“I came to the conclusion then that ‘continual mindfulness’ must mean, not a sergeant-major-like drilling of thoughts, but a continual readiness to look and a readiness to accept whatever came.”- Joanna Field
