Anita Oaktree is an En-Plein-Air Prophetic Artist painting in acrylics mainly. She has a B.A.Hons Degree in Fine Art / Printmaking from Sunderland University, but is a self-taught painter. She moved to Cornwall and began painting again in 2008. The great outdoors is her studio, the light and energy of creation providing divine inspiration for her prophetic painting.
Quite late on, I attended some conferences and learnt that the mindful way I painted, was about capturing every thought and translated to painting – this was a visual communication capturing a conversaton with God. It is important to not come with a preconceived idea of the end painting, but to allow the thoughts, energy and individuality of the moment to communicate into the image – a spontaneous visual conversation with God.
A New Heaven and A New Earth
This painting was painted live at a Christian conference. I was inspired by the dramatic clouds whilst travelling to the conference on that day. They stayed in my head and I knew I had to to paint them. That was my starting point.
After that I kept seeing a cross shape but didn’t want to do, the traditional. I saw a black/dark line which I painted across the canvas – this was partly influenced by a small tear in the canvas corner where the dark line is thicker. I was being led……then I added some branch/thorny bits going up the line. At this stage various people could see a multitude of different interpretations!
A New Heaven and a New Earth has a New rainbow constructed with chains. Our chains that Christ died to release us from. These connect from the spiritual mycellium {the white line} and the gold New World which is created from this. The perspective is interesting as it represents a multidimensional angle.
