My environment is very important to Me and my Art. Getting out into nature and connecting with the wider world feeds into my art work – whether this is with a sketch pad for initial inspiration and energies or an exhilarating walk- all this informs the artworks I create.

I live with access to two very different and inspirational environments – close to the sea and close to the countryside.

Each moment is precious and each artwork provides the opportunity to capture the ephemeral glimpses of moments – colours, textures, energy, moods, light and life. The energies change with seasons and days within the seasons. Each element carries its own energy and life which change and shape the world. It is these observations, sometimes big and over-flowing and sometimes quiet and calming, which I share with the viewer through the paintings I create.
